THE GROUND RULES

Terms of use

YardBooth provides the sale page. Sellers and buyers make their own deal.

In effect since August 26, 2026. Marvel Mirror LLC, operator of YardBooth · 2501 Chatham Rd #5694, Springfield, IL 62704 · hello@yardbooth.com

1. Who this is between

These terms are between Marvel Mirror LLC, operator of YardBooth (“YardBooth,” “we,” or “us”), and you when you browse, create, manage, or contact a seller through YardBooth.

Using the site means you accept these terms. A seller also accepts them when requesting a sale page or buying listing space.

2. What YardBooth is

YardBooth is a listing and communication service for local, seller-run sales. It gives each approved seller a shareable page and lets a buyer send one bundle offer.

YardBooth is not the seller, buyer, auctioneer, payment processor for item sales, delivery service, or owner of anything listed. The seller and buyer decide whether to proceed, how payment works, where pickup happens, and whether a return or refund is available.

3. Seller responsibilities

A seller must have the right to list each item, use current photos of the actual item, describe material damage or defects honestly, state a real price, and remove or mark an item sold when it is no longer available.

A seller may not list illegal or stolen property; recalled or dangerously defective goods; counterfeit goods; firearms, ammunition, explosives, or weapons; illegal drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia; pornography or sexual services; gambling or betting products; prescription medication; alcohol, tobacco, nicotine, or vaping products; animals; personal data; or anything else whose sale is illegal, regulated, age-restricted, or creates an unreasonable safety, fraud, or legal risk.

Sellers may not use coded wording, incomplete descriptions, or off-site messages to evade these rules. Automated screening and human review may help enforce the rules, but sellers remain responsible for every listing they submit.

Sellers are responsible for taxes, permits, product warnings, and other obligations that apply to their sales.

4. Buyer responsibilities

Photos and descriptions come from the seller. Buyers should ask questions, inspect an item before paying when practical, keep written records, and use a payment method they consider safe. An offer is a request to the seller, not a completed purchase or a guarantee that the item will be held.

For practical consumer guidance, see the Federal Trade Commission’s online-marketplace buying guidance.

5. Local pickup and personal safety

Public sale pages show only a general pickup area. A seller should share an exact address only after deciding to proceed. Buyers and sellers should use daylight, meet in a public place when practical, tell another person where they are going, and stop if a payment or identity-verification request feels suspicious.

6. Fees and store limits

The current YardBooth seller fees, item limits, duration, approval process, and refund rules are stated in Buying and refunds. YardBooth may change a future price, but a change does not reduce listing space already purchased.

7. Seller content

The seller keeps ownership of listing photos and text. The seller gives YardBooth a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, resize, display, and distribute that content only as needed to run, share, protect, and promote the seller’s YardBooth sale.

The seller promises that the content does not violate another person’s copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights.

8. Moderation and removal

Each new store is reviewed before publication. YardBooth may reject, hide, suspend, or remove a store or item that violates these terms, appears fraudulent, creates a safety risk, has expired, or could harm the service or another person. When practical, we will tell the seller why and allow a correction.

9. No guarantee

YardBooth does not guarantee that an item will sell, that an offer is genuine, that a seller or buyer will complete a deal, that an item is safe or as described, or that the site will always be available. The site is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Marvel Mirror LLC and its members, employees, and agents are not liable for an item, an in-person meeting, a payment between buyer and seller, lost profits, lost data, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from YardBooth.

Our total liability for a paid seller’s claim relating to a YardBooth sale will not exceed the listing fees that seller paid us for that sale during the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow every limitation, so a limitation applies only to the extent the law permits.

11. Disputes and governing law

Write to us first and give us 30 days to try to resolve a dispute. Illinois law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Unless applicable law requires another place, a claim must be brought in a state or federal court serving Sangamon County, Illinois. Small-claims cases may be brought wherever the applicable rules allow.

12. Changes

A change takes effect when posted and works forward, not backward. The effective date at the top changes with the text. Ask us for the version that was in effect on a date and we will provide the version we have archived.
